This is the country of the first Europeans(Mzia and Zezva)
This is the country of Medea taken by Argonauts
This is the country of 30centuries of undiscovered history
This is the country where people know what does it mean to love
Hello my dear friends, now I want to tell you a few words about the country where the lands are the real heaven for professional archaelogists and is the mecca of world Archaeology too.
We take pride of 30centuries of past history and present strongly attached to our roots.
Meanwhile standing at the edge of the Europe and Asia, Georgia is known as the gateway towards the Europe and Asia respectively. Geographical and political influences had always beeninfluencing by the neighbouring regions and finally we recieved Georgia as a remarkable mix of Eastern and Western cultures and phylosophy.
Numerous field works that take place on the Georgia's territory seems attractive for all the researchers of the world.
Now I want you all to invite in our country for your scientific research and field works.
Best wishes
Yours sincerely
Thank you very much for these photos. I'm not an archaeologist nor do I know much about Georgia, but I do have a personal anthropological interest in both of those and your pictures only make my curiosity stronger. :)
Did you take those photos yourself or did you find them on the web?
Thanks for your pictures. Actually, I had a close contact who was an organic chemist in one lab that I worked in while I was a graduate student. This person was also from Georgia and then move to Azerbajian before moving to study in Russia. (Then, he came to the United States.)
Perhaps you may be able to tell us about the types of research that would specifically benefit the people of Georgia. To me, this is the most important aspect of doing science. The science needs to be relevant to the community it serves and should be specific to that community's desires. If this can happen, societies can begin to build sustainable infrastructure (scientific and otherwise)that is of benefit to all.
First: these pictures are taken from the official website of Georgian National Museum www.museum.ge
Second: thanks for your warm words about the gallery
Third: we all know how important any kind of scientific success is important for nations, and also how great impact (positive of course) world famous discoveries have on the self awareness and self esteem of nations and especially for the small ones.
The cultural heritage as the scope of tourism I think is one of the most improtant side of the scientific discoveries having popularizing as well as profit meanings for the nations, also strenghtening the tight contacts between different countries' scientists, and especially those the younger ones.
Could be better if we'd have even more loaded discussion about these themes
Best wishes dear friends
