The American Society for Virology (ASV) invites you to attend the 27th Annual Meeting of the Society, to be held on the campus of Cornell University from July 12-16, 2008.
The American Society for Virology was founded in 1981 to provide a forum for investigators of human, animal, insect, plant, fungal and bacterial viruses, whether the research involves the use of clinical, ecological, biological or biochemical approaches. The Society sponsors an annual meeting, designed to promote discussion and collaboration among scientists active in all aspects of virology. Cornell University has a long history with ASV, hosting the first meeting in 1982. Since then, the meeting has taken place at Cornell on three occasions.

The College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Bells University of Technology, Ota, Nigeria, cordially invites you to a Workshop on Capacity Building in Bioinformatics and Computational Molecular Biology, which will take place at the University Campus from July 14 – 18, 2008. The Opening Ceremony will feature a Plenary Session of invited speakers on various aspects Bioinformatics. The Workshop is being organised in collaboration with the West African Bioinformatics Research Initiative (WABRI). REGISTRATION
Registration will take place at the Workshop venue from 1500 - 1900 on Monday, July 14, 2008, and from 0800 - 0900 on Tuesday, July 15, 2008.

The Workshop fees are as follows:
Before July 1, 2008 After July 1, 2008
Participants from African Countries. N 30,000.00/$ 300 N 40,000.00/$ 400
Participants from outside Africa. N 45,000.00/$ 450 N 60,000.00/$ 600

Participants from outside Africa are encouraged to register early for the Workshop. For participants who are resident in Nigeria, registration dues should be remitted by Bank Draft/Certified Bank Cheque payable to “Bells University of Technology” and sent to the Dean, College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Bells University of Technology, Ota, Nigeria. Participants, particularly those from outside Nigeria, could also remit their registration dues by Bank Transfer to the account of Bells University of Technology No. 0133001000211038 at Intercontinental Bank, Ota, Nigeria. Please send a notification of your remittance, including the Reference Number, through e-mail to wabri@wabri.org. It is also important that you submit a copy of the Bank Teller at the Registration Desk on arrival. Those who wish to pay cash could do so at the Registration Desk before the Opening Ceremony.
